The Wanted Receives an Unwanted Gift (VIDEO)

The Wanted

The ladies may love The Wanted, but the British boy band aren’t digging some of the gifts they find from their adoring female fans.

Tom Parker — who shot to fame with the group’s hit “Glad You Came” last year — told Celebuzz at the 2013 People Choice Awards that someone once hurled a used tampon at him during a concert.

When asked about his craziest fan experience, Parker simply quipped, “[I found] a bloody tampon onstage.”

Luckily, Parker and his bandmates – Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran — got a much better present at Wednesday night’s award ceremony, taking home the Favorite Breakout Artist award.

“We’ve never won an award before,” Parker said to us on the red carpet before nabbing the title. “Fingers crossed!”

The group beat out Carly Rae Jepsen, Goyte, Fun. and their boy band rivals, One Direction, for the award.

“This never happens to us,” George told the crowd during the acceptance speech. “We’ve never won anything before … We never expected this at all.”

The boys also performed an impromptu acapella version of the Starland Vocal Band’s hit “Afternoon Delight,” which they had promised talk show host Ellen DeGeneres they perform if they were to win that night.

The Wanted Sing ‘White Christmas’ A Cappella With a Puppy (VIDEO)

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas with The Wanted? Well, today is your lucky day!

The “I Found You” crooners — Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran — got into the holiday spirit with an a cappella version of “White Christmas” for MTV. The British-Irish boy band may make club-ready hits, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to harmonize.

And if that doesn’t make you swoon, then perhaps scene-stealer Stormy the dog will do the trick. The golden retriever leaves the performance mid-way through the warbling, only to come back moments later — much to the guys’ excitement.

The Wanted got into the holiday spirit earlier this year, posing for Esquire magazine in a festive spread, complete with presents, tinsel and eating oversized gingerbread cookies.

After a successful year — their club hit “Glad You Came” cracked the Top 10 — The Wanted are currently enjoying a much-needed break. However, it won’t be long until the boys, who are signed to Scooter Braun’s Schoolboy Records, start working on their upcoming third album, which they hope to release in April.

“We are doing a lot more recording in January in the UK,” McGuiness recently told MTV News. “We are going to go to a house together and do some writing.”

But that’s not all. The guys are also planning a world tour to coincide with their area tour in the U.K.

“We are looking to do a huge world tour,” Parker said. “Go back to different countries we’ve visited this year. We are going to do South America, do a tour in the U.S., our arena tour in the U.K. and then we’ve got our album coming out as well, in fact, we might do two albums. We are talking about next year, so we are going to have a busy year, if not busier than this year.”

Did The Wanted’s holiday cover make you swoon? Sound off in the comments!

The Wanted’s Max George Decks the Halls With Bandmates for ‘Esquire’ Holiday Shoot (PHOTO)

Deck the halls with… The Wanted?

The “I Found You” crooners — Max GeorgeNathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran — posed for Esquire in Yuletide sweaters and other various Christmas garb. From wrapping themselves in tinsel and garland to eating oversized gingerbread cookies, The Wanted are certainly getting into the holiday spirit.

Not to mention it looks like George, 24, is trying his best to get on Santa’s good side after finding himself at the center of a brawl between troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan and Florida psychic, Tiffany Eve Mitchell last week.

George reportedly partied with the Hollywood bad girl just before she was arrested for assault on Thursday. Later that night, his bandmate McGuiness wore a “Free Lindsay” shirt during The Wanted’s opening set at Madison Square Garden.

“She’s cool. She was a top girl — she’s, you know, good fun,” George told KISS FM’s JoJo Wright on Friday. “We were just out and there was a bit of trouble with someone in the club. But it got blown out of proportion, to be honest.”

During his chat with Wright on Friday, George shot down reports that Lohan’s altercation was over him.

“It wasn’t me. I didn’t instigate anything,” he said. “It was nothing to do with me.”

One Direction and The Wanted’s Feud Heats Up: Zayn Malik and Max George Have Heated Exchange on Twitter

Talk about battle of the bands.

One Direction and The Wanted engaged in an all-out Twitter war earlier this week. On Tuesday, One Direction crooner Zayn Malik called The Wanted’s Max George a “geek” — and he was less than happy with that particular hashtag.

It all started when George tweeted a photo with “Gangnam Style” sister Psy. “Me and Psy getting messy #geekandproud,” he tweeted. However, Malik’s reply was less than complimentary.

“The first step is acceptance #geekoftheweek,” he tweeted. He then added, “Your display just shows how much of a wannabe you are :).” That’s when things got ugly. (Note: All of the tweets have since been deleted, but screengrabs of the exchange can be found here.)

George fired back with, “That’s not very nice. I was just starting to like you and your RnB hits.” The Wanted’s  Tom Parker then added, “I think ’1 stripes’ got his knickers in a twist bro,” referring to the signature blonde streak in Malik’s hair.

Malik fired back at Parker, tweeting, “Mate if I had a face like yours my hair would be the last thing I’d worry about :).” Parker then tweeted a photo of Malik with the message, “Bradford Bad Boi,” referring to Malik’s hometown in the U.K.

That’s when One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson entered the Twitter beef, telling Parker, “Pipe down bad boy.”

Malik later responded to George and Parker. “Let’s not even start discussing vocal ability boys 😉 would love to chat gotta run though rehearsals.” And George replied, “Enjoy rehearsals. Stay off the bud… It clearly makes u cranky.”

This isn’t the first time the two boy bands have gotten into a war of words with each other. George recently told MTV he was confused by Tomlinson‘s recent harsh remarks toward the rival boy band. The One Direction singer told the UK’s Now magazine, “If you want to create rivalry, then let’s do it.”

Tomlinson went on to tell the magazine when he first heard The Wanted’s single, “All Time Low,” in the UK, he thought it was a “great song by a great band.” However, once The Wanted hit it big in the U.S. with “Glad You Came,” things started to change among the two British pop bands, he said. And the wounds are still fresh for Tomlinson.

“It changed all of a sudden,” Tomlinson added. “There was one press story where they were bad-mouthing us. I thought maybe that had been twisted. But then there ended up being about 10 stories and they’ve been caught on camera doing little things.”

But The Wanted argue it’s Tomlinson who’s making a big deal out of nothing. “It seems to us at the moment that the only time we talk about One Direction is getting asked about comments they’ve made,” The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes told MTV.

George then added: “That’s true actually. It’s quite boring now. To be fair, it’s Louis, though. It doesn’t seem to be any of the others… Louis seems to be the one who has a lot to say, for some reason. I don’t know what it is.”

Before ending the conversation, however, George took one final dig at Tomlinson. “Maybe he fancies one of us or something?”

That comment obviously didn’t go over well with Tomlinson and his bandmates. It seems like these two boy bands aren’t going to resolve their issues anytime soon.

The Wanted Release ‘I Found You’ Music Video: Pretty Girls, Fist Fights and Diamonds (VIDEO)

The Wanted may not be as popular as One Direction (yet), but while the lads of 1D live while they’re young, their older counterparts are serving up swag in the music video for their latest single “I Found You.”

Perhaps inspired by Lupin the Third, the video has the makings of a classic caper: beautiful girls, dapper attire, fist fights and stolen diamonds. Just when you think the story is going in one direction — the guys are obviously saving the damsel in distress, right? — the boy band delivers a shock ending, proving once again why they’re pop music’s newest bad boys.

Watch the video for “I Found You” above.

“I Found You,” which was written and produced by Steve Mac (the same man behind their global smash “Glad You Came“), sounds like nothing else on the radio — and that’s a good thing.

The track aims to capitalize on its predecessor’s success, and while the two songs share certain similarities, “I Found You” pushes the boy band boundaries.

Nathan Sykes arguably steals the track from his bandmates in the bridge, as he soulfully wails, “I said, people / We’re all looking for love tonight / But sometimes we can’t see it / We run by and find the love.” And for easily excitable fangirls, this means more camera time — and make out time — for Sykes, 18, and the mysterious blonde music video vixen.

“I Found You,” the lead track off The Wanted’s forthcoming album, officially drops in November. Head over to Direct Lyrics for the song’s full lyrics.

The Wanted Strip Down to Their Briefs for Magazine Shoot (PHOTO)

It looks like the boys of The Wanted are finally answering the age-old question: Boxers or briefs?

In a recent photo shoot with We Love Pop magazine, The Wanted strip down to their undergarments, making teenage girls everywhere swoon.

Your “universe will never be the same” after looking at this picture.

Hunky Max George keeps thing classic in a pair of tight, black briefs, while funny man Jay McGuiness makes a statement in a cartoonish briefs. As for Nathan Sykes, the youngest member of the man band opts for a simple pair of blue and white briefs.

Tom Parker stands out as the only one in The Wanted to choose baggy boxers, while Siva Kaneswaran looks like he’s posing for Calvin Klein in his skin-tight white briefs.

When they’re not passing the time in their underwear, The Wanted are hard at work recording their new album. The band has released its new single “I Found You,” which was written and produced by Steve Mac – the same man behind their global smash “Glad You Came.”
