Babies Before Marriage: The New Norm in Hollywood (PHOTOS)

First comes baby, then comes marriage? That’s certainly the case for many of today’s hottest Hollywood couples.

Indeed, everyone from Jessica Simpson to Kourtney and Kim Kardashian are putting family first, opting to have a kid or two before deciding when to actually walk down the aisle, if ever.

Of course, the concept of having babies before marriage isn’t entirely foreign. Just look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who over the years have given birth to and adopted enough kids to fill Noah’s Arc — and they still haven’t set an official date (that we know of).

Still, the trend has certainly grown into something relatively common and substantial — enough to suggest that certain social norms and traditions may ultimately be a thing of the past.

Who else is putting family first, and marriage second?

NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Unveils First Shots of New Coaches Shakira and Usher (PHOTOS)

Shakira and Usher look pretty comfy in their new coaching roles in NBC’s new promo shots for the fourth season of The Voice.

Getting fans excited for the next season, the stars take their place in the big, red swivel chairs – replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green — alongside veteran judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

The chemistry already seems to be brewing on-set with the foursome, and Levine may even have a new co-star to banter with — even though he will miss Aguilera’s ball-busting.

“I’m going to miss him,” the “Your Body” songstress told Celebuzz. “He’ll miss me too. Nobody can bust his balls like me.”

“It’s bittersweet,” Aguilera added at the show’s live finale, which crowned Cassadee Pope as the Season 3 winner. “I’m not going to lie, watching the footage – the happy birthday wishes – the guys, we have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs and we bicker, we love each other like family, like brothers and sisters.”

In September, The Voice announced that they renewed two more seasons of reality singing competition series and that singers Usher, 33, and Shakira would replace Green, 38, and Aguilera, 32, as coaches for the show’s fourth season until the original two return to their seats (after pursuing their own musical projects).

The new panel of coaches will make their Voice debut when Season 4 premieres on March 25 on NBC.

Shakira Usher

Check out the first photos of Usher and Shakira in the famous red swivel chairs! The new ‘Voice‘ judges make themselves comfortable and look right at home in the NBC promo pics.

Usher reclines in his seat with one leg up on the chair, revealing his bright red kicks that match the color of his reality TV throne. Shakira looks more intent as she stares straight ahead, ready to press her button.

Meanwhile, returning judge Blake Shelton gives a friendly smile, while fellow ‘Voice’ veteran Adam Levine strikes a more artsy pose staring off into the distance.

The next season of ‘The Voice’ returns on March 25, but since the blind auditions have already been taped, the judges have some stories to share. Speaking about Shakira, Adam told Access Hollywood, “I underestimated her.” The Latin pop star replied, “And I stole a couple of contestants from him.” Meanwhile, Usher reported, “I have a confession. There was a contestant who actually sang background for me… Totally did not recognize her voice!”

Levine says he and Shelton thought about hazing the Season 4 newbies, but thought better of it. “Blake and I had all these designs to make them feel very uncomfortable, but we saw how genuinely excited and slightly nervous they were,” Levine said. “We didn’t have it in our hearts to haze them too much. We welcomed them. We made them feel really comfortable because that’s what they deserved.”

Baby Watch: Did Shakira Give Birth Or Did Beau Gerard Pique Play a Prank?

Maybe baby?

April’s Fools is still on the horizon for Americans, but it seems like expectant mom Shakira‘s beau Gerard Pique pulled an early prank on Twitter.

On Friday, Pique, a player for soccer team Barcelona FC, tweeted a message in Spanish: “‘Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thanks to all for your messages!” — coincidentally, just in time for Spain’s equivalent of April Fools’ Day: Dia de los Innocentes (Day of the Holy Innocents).

The tweet caused a stir, leading many to believe that the singer (and soon-to-be judge on The Voice) had given birth although she was expected to deliver at the beginning of 2013.

While Shakira could have possibly gone into labor, she has yet to officially confirm the news. Most recently, she was spotted — and put her bump on full display —  shopping for presents days before Christmas.

The “Tortura” singer confirmed her pregnancy in mid-September on her blog, and shared an intimate look of her first child’s ultrasound photo.

UPDATE: Shakira’s Boyfriend Tricks Us Into Thinking She Gave Birth

Ethan Miller, Getty Images

UPDATE: Well, we didn’t see this coming! Shakira’s man, Gerard Pique tweeted that the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer gave birth to a son, only to find out later that it was a prank!

Congrats to Colombian pop diva Shakira and her footballer boyfriend Gerard Pique on their arrived-a-few-days-late Christmas present. Shakira gave birth to their first child, a son, on Thursday, Dec. 27.

The little guy’s name has not yet been released. However, there were rumors floating around that she ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer planned to name her son Biel. It seems like only yesterday the singer and new ‘The Voice‘ coach, 35, was sharing images of her ever-expanding belly and checking on the home that she and Pique are renovating in Barcelona. Now her infant son is here! Time flies.

Pique tweeted the news of the birth, in Spanish.

His tweet translates to: “Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thank you to everyone for your messages!”

We are looking forward to finding out his name, Biel or not, and seeing photos of the precious little angel sooner than later. He certainly hit the genetic jackpot. Since both his parents are incredibly attractive people, he has to be super duper adorbs.

Let’s hope that the recent lawsuit dropped on the singer’s doorstep, courtesy of her ex-boyfriend, gets tossed out of court or goes away so that nothing spoils Shakira’s first year of motherhood.

Do You Think Usher + Shakira Are Good Fits for ‘The Voice’ Coaching Panel? – Readers Poll

Shakira Christina Aguilera Cee Lo Green Usher

Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are out, and Shakira and Usher are in! Season 4 of ‘The Voice‘ is sure to be interesting on its own, but the fact that there are two new judges on the panel alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton makes things all the more intriguing. While Shakira and Usher are both global superstars, do you think they have what it takes to make a great reality TV judge?

[Sigh] Aguilera and Green’s departure from ‘The Voice’ is bittersweet. While we’re excited for them to move on to bigger and better things in their own lives, we’ll definitely miss Green’s smooth talking and his amazing one liners and Xtina’s banter with her trio of male cohorts. We’re also going to cry when Xtina and Cee Lo aren’t in their big red chairs every week, since we won’t get to see anymore crazy, sparkly getups.

Despite all of this, it’s definitely exciting to see some fresh faces on the coaches panel. Shakira is a very kind person with a strong diva attitude, so we’re curious to see what kind of constructive criticism she’ll deliver. We’re also really hoping that, in addition to helping contestants fine-tune their vocals, the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer will also teach some of them how to shake it up on stage.

And the fact that Usher has signed on to this show just speaks to how big ‘The Voice’ has become. The veteran R&B chart-topper knows the music biz like the back of his hand now, assisting in Justin Bieber’s career launch amongst others, so he’ll be a great asset to the panel. He also has an incredible voice with tons of range, and the fact that he can bust a move is just another added plus.

So, do you think Shakira and Usher will be good replacements for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on ‘The Voice’? Or would you have selected two different musicians if you were an NBC exec? Vote and leave a comment below!

Expectant Parents Shakira + Gerard Pique Check Progress of Renovated Barcelona Home

With a baby – a son they plan to name Biel — on the way, pop diva Shakira and her boyfriend and baby daddy, soccer player Gerard Pique, have to make sure all their ducks are in a row so they can focus on their little guy when he arrives. The handsome pair paid a visit to the Barcelona home they are having renovated.

They need to make sure the foundation is rock solid and the nursery is ready for when they welcome their little blue bundle of joy.

Shakira, dressed in a leave-her-alone-she’s-preggers-uniform of sweats, sneakers, a white tee and a comfy knit cardigan, showed her expanding baby bump, which was visible even when covered by an oversized tee.

Shakira and Pique admired the contractor’s work and reportedly plan to move into the abode before the birth of their first child. That way, they can nest with their newborn and not have to worry about unpacking, renovating, painting and all the noise that comes with sweat equity.

The singer and the footballer purchased the property in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona earlier this year, according to The Daily Mail. The home has a security gate, two garages and a large balcony. It still required quite a bit of work to get it in fighting aka inhabitable shape. But it appears as though they are getting there.

Wisin and Yandel Follow the Leader

‘Follow the Leader’

Wisin & Yandel Feat. Jennifer Lopez
For her curtain call on ‘American Idol,’ Jennifer Lopez elected to sing ‘Follow the Leader,’ her collaboration with Wisin & Yandel. They performed the song on the ‘Idol’ Season 11 finale, just as it was shooting up the Latin Tropical Airplay chart. Over South American-inspired rhythms, J. Lo teases, Baby, the way that I’m working my body / I can tell that you already like it / I’ll make you lose your cabeza.”
Romeo Santos La Diabla

‘La Diabla’

Romeo Santos
Romeo Santos became a Latin pop superstar during his years in the bachata group Adventura. As a solo artist, he has continued to rack up hit singles and has performed with UsherDiddy, and Lil Wayne‘La Diabla,’ a track about a she-devil who takes advantage of unsuspecting men like him and toys with their hearts, topped both the Latin and Tropical charts in 2012.
Shakira Addicted to You

‘Addicted to You’

Shakira’s hips still don’t lie, and on ‘Addicted to You,’ she gets everybody’s hips moving with a pulsing beat and lively horns. The song from the singer’s ‘Sale el Sol’ album is entirely in Spanish aside from the hook, “Baby I’m addicted to you.” Viewers may become addicted to the music video, which features Shakira lying in a bathtub and dancing sensually in a tight dress.
Prince Royce

Prince Royce

Prince Royce has continued to reach new heights since our interview with him last year. He scored three consecutive No. 1 hits on the Latin Songs chart in 2012, including ‘Incondicional,’ a single from his ‘Phase II’ album that provides an unexpected fusion of bachata and mariachi music, along with a breezy melody and Royce’s words about selfless giving and unconditional love.

Pitbull Get It Started

‘Get It Started’

Pitbull Feat. Shakira
Shakira once turned down repeated requests to appear on Pitbull’s smash hit ‘Give Me Everything,’ but she took up his offer to collaborate on ‘Get It Started,’ which finds her and Mr. Worldwide taking their music to the club with a frenzied Eurodance-style beat. On the only song in our Top 10 that’s entirely in English, Pitbull compares himself to Tom Cruise and Muhammad Ali and brags about dropping the ball in Times Square.

‘Bebe Bonita’

Chino & Nacho feat. Jay Sean
Jay Sean guests on ‘Bebe Bonita,’ a soulful pop track that became a big hit for Venezuelan duo Chino & Nacho, who have survived their early days in a boy band to become stars on their own. Sean adds his smooth R&B touch to the track, singing, “Girl, out of everyone you stand out / And without even trying, girl you know you shine,” while Chino & Nacho add bilingual lyrics about their perfect ‘Pretty Baby.’
Dom Omar

‘Hasta Que Salga de Sol’

Don Omar
Puerto Rican reggaeton star Don Omar won the Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album for ‘Meet the Orphans 2: New Generation.’ The record’s opening track, ‘Hasta Que Salga de Sol,’ translates as ‘Until the Sun Comes Up,’ and describes how long Omar wants to party. Omar orders listeners to raise their beers and dance until they break their hips. That’s an intense celebration!
Jesse and Joy Corre

Jesse & Joy
Mexican duo Jesse & Joy were the big winners at the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards, pocketing four trophies, including Record and Song of the Year for the piano-driven breakup ballad ‘Corre!’ The song evokes heavy emotions as Joy tells the story of a relationship that has run its course. She sings painful lyrics that translate as, “You look at me differently / You hug me and I don’t feel your warmth anymore.
Enrique Iglesias Finally Found You

‘Finally Found You’

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Daddy Yankee
‘Finally Found You,’ the latest hit from Latin pop king Enrique Iglesias, features Sammy Adams on the radio version, but a second recording featuring Daddy Yankee was issued for the Latin pop market. The catchy track with fluttering synths and lyrics that describe Enrique meeting the girl of his dreams became the singer’s 23rd No. 1 hit on the Billboard Latin Songs chart, extending his own record for most chart-toppers in history.
Wisin and Yandel Algo Me Gusta de Ti

‘Algo Me Gusta de Ti’

Wisin & Yandel Feat. Chris Brown & T-Pain
Puerto Rican hitmakers Wisin & Yandel enlist two of R&B’s biggest names, Chris Brown and T-Pain, for their No. 1 dance-pop smash ‘Algo Me Gusta de Ti. “I’m your man / I need your body / Can I take you there?,” Breezy asks over an electro dance beat that recalls many of his own hit songs. In the energetic music video, all four men dance and hang out with a house full of ladies. The party anthem caps off our list of the Top 10 Latin Pop Songs of 2012.

Shakira Shares First Snapshot of Baby Boy in Ultrasound (PHOTO)

Shakira‘s baby boy hasn’t arrived yet, but he’s ready for his close up.

Just a week after the expectant mama showed off her pregnant belly with boyfriend Gerard Piqué on Instagram, the couple have shared the baby’s first ultrasound picture.

“His first pic! #excited #cute,” Pique wrote on his WhoSay account, along with photo.

Gerard Pique on WhoSay

In October, Shakira, 35, revealed the sex of their baby during an interview with German TV’s RTL. And from the sounds of it, she’s already got big plans for her little one.

“When the baby is born, I’ll take him with me on charity trips . . . he shall learn that he is able to change the world,” she said.

On Nov. 27, the Colombian superstar posted to Instagram and Twitter a personal photo of herself and her 25-year-old soccer star beau, writing, “I could have another 9 months like this!”

Shakira and Piqué first met in 2010 when he was hired to star in her music video for “Waka Waka,” the South African World Cup theme song. The pair did not confirm their relationship until March 2011, when she called him her “sunshine” in Spanish on her Facebook account.

Shakira Snuggles With Boyfriend in New Baby Bump Photo

There’s one thing that obviously agrees with Colombian dynamo Shakira and that’s being pregnant. The singer shared an intimate photo of her bare baby bump while snuggling with her boyfriend and baby daddy, soccer star Gerard Pique, and she looks absolutely adorbs.

Pique’s smile indicates that he is thrilled about his impending fatherhood, as well. But the ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer is so in love with being preggers, her expanding belly and the baby inside it that she posted:

Podría estar 9 meses más así! I could have another 9 months like this! Shak

Most women are ready to give birth and be done with a baby bump by the six or seven months mark. Shakira, on the other hand, could go another gestation period.

The singer revealed that her child, a son, will be named Biel. Like Jessica! You know what that means? Biel’s new hubby and Shak’s fellow pop star Justin Timberlake should be the godfather.

Shakira doesn’t appear to be perplexed or stressed about the $100 million lawsuit her former boyfriend laid at her doorstep last week. He claims he was fired as her business manager after their romantic relationship went south. She has other things on her mind, like giving birth to a happy, healthy blue bundle of joy.

Shakira Sued for $100 Million by Ex-Boyfriend

Angel Martinez, Getty Images

Poor Shakira. The Colombian diva, who is expecting her first child with soccer star Gerard Pique, is being sued to the tune of $100 million by her former boyfriend and business partner. That’s a whole lot of money to seek from his ex, but he claims to have good reason. He alleges that their business relationship soured after the romance died. Who needs this headache when there is a bun in the oven?

The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ hitmaker was in a relationship with Antonio de la Rua, the son of onetime Argentinian president Fernando de la Rua, for a decade. They split in 2010, but promised they’d remain friends and continue on with their business dealings. Things didn’t go according to plan, as he has filed suit in New York accusing her of breaking her promise to continue to profit share with him, according to WENN.

De la Rua claims that he was asked to continue to run the business behind the singer’s brand, and he even secured her $300 million deal with Live Nation. He says that the business relationship was in tact for about a year, but he was fired in 2011. Now he wants $100 mil for his troubles.

We hope this lawsuit isn’t weighing too heavily on Shakira’s mind, as she has her unborn son to worry about.
