EXCLUSIVE Chris Colfer and Rebel Wilson in ‘Struck by Lightning’ Blackmail Clip (VIDEO)

Everyone’s got something to hide. And that totally works to Chris Colfer‘s advantage in this exclusive clip from his film, Struck by Lightning. As you’ve already seen in this video, Chris’ character, Carson Phillips, wants to pursue a career in journalism at Northwestern University after high school. In order to boost his resume, he creates literary magazine.

However, since he’s not exactly on top of the social chain at school, no one apart from his best friend, Malerie (played by the awesome Rebel Wilson), and two male classmates signed on. But, as you’ll soon see, the only reason the latter duo joined was because Carson blackmails them… which leads us to the whole dirty plot of using the student body’s secrets against them to force them to write for him as well.

The movie also features other names you may recognize, like Sarah Hyland, Ashley Rickards, Matt Prokop, Allie Grant, Robbie Amell, Christina Hendricks, and more.

The film will be in select theaters January 11, but cities across the country are hosting a one-night event this Sunday, January 6 at 8pm ET/5pm PT to see the movie and participate in a live Q&A session afterwards with Chris Colfer, who will be at the film’s L.A. premiere. For details on the screenings, go to StruckByLightning-Movie.com. Can’t wait until then? The movie is also currently available via On Demand, iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu.

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Colfer Plays The Wishing Game!

The 12 Biggest Breakout Stars of 2012: Carly Rae Jepsen, Sam Claflin & More!

While there are plenty of stars we know and love, 2012 brought us a slew of talent that we’ll certainly be talking about for years to come! Though some might be familiar faces, 2012 was really their year to shine. Whether they created one of the biggest songs of the year (Carly Rae Jepsen), or had us laughing hysterically at the movies (Rebel Wilson), we fell in love with these celebs in 2012.

In no particular order — see who Teen chose as their biggest breakout stars of 2012 below!

Austin Mahone

Much like Justin Bieber (who he is often compared to), 16-year-old Austin Mahone got his start thanks to a number of videos of him singing that went viral on YouTube. Thanks to his charming good looks, and talent to boot, Austin released two singles this year, “11:11,” and “Say Somethin’” which had fans going crazy. 2012 was obviously a good year for him, and 2013 only proves to be bigger!

Chase/Universal Republic

Bridgit Mendler

Bridgit is known for her roles on Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie, as well as her musical turn in the 2011 DCOM Lemonade Mouth, but in 2012, Bridgit debuted the infectious single, “Ready Or Not.” And on top of that, she released her first album Hello My Name Is… and topped off the year by performing on The X Factor.

Disney

Carly Rae Jepsen

To say 2012 was a HUGE year for CRJ would be a complete understatement. Her first single “Call Me Maybe” burnt up not only the charts, but YouTube video views (it has 362 million…and counting!), and she toured with Justin Bieber on his Believe tour. Though some believed she might be a one hit wonder, her catchy tune proved to have a life of its own as it spawned a number of sing-along vids. Also, the 27-year-old Canadian released her first album, Kiss, which certainly proved nay-sayers wrong. Only good things in this gal’s future, we predict!

Cher Lloyd

Our friends over in the U.K. have been loving Cher since her season of The X Factor back in 2010 (yes, the same season as One Direction!), and even though she only came in fourth during the competition, she’s finally had a breakout year over here in the states! Thanks to her single “Want U Back,” she had millions singing along to her feisty tune. Not only that, but she performed the hit song on the U.S. version of The X Factor, truly coming full circle. And now we can’t help thinking of her every time we hear someone grunt “UH!”

Dean Geyer

Glee fans were devastated when Finchel broke up in the third season finale, but when sexy NYADA senior Brody (Dean) came into Rachel Berry’s life, he had people saying “Finn, who?!” Thanks to his many shirtless scenes and sexy dance moves, people can’t get enough of him. Although, his desirableness did take a bit of a dive when he hooked up with their teacher, played by Kate Hudson.

FOX

Ellie Goulding

OK, so we know that Ellie had people talking when she performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding last year, but 2012 was really the year she made a name for herself. Between her hit single “Lights,” which got an insane amount of airtime on the radio, her uplifting new single “Anything Could Happen,” and the fact that she dated dubstep DJ Skrillex, Ellie definitely made a name for herself in 2012!

Fierce Five

The Fierce Five, other wise known as Jordyn Wieber, Kyla RossMcKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, and Gabby Douglas, had everyone talking during the Olympic games this summer. These gymnasts not only brought home the gold, but stole the hearts of millions! McKayla Maroney particularly had the world talking when she won the silver medal in the vault finals, and was caught making a less than pleased face. The “Not Impressed” meme spread like wild fire, with even President Barack Obama joining in on the fun! Also, Gabby Douglas scored herself a guest spot on The Vampire Diaries. What a year for these talented young ladies!

Phillips Phillips

Phillip Phillips — the singer so nice, they named him twice! The adorable singer won the 11th season of American Idol back in May, and managed to do it all while suffering from major kidney problems! Phillip was such a trooper during the whole thing, it made America fall in love with him even more. Not to mention, his single “Home” had millions singing along, while his debut album, The World from the Side of the Moon, just dropped in November. Oh, and he’ll also be hitting the road with Matchbox 20 in 2013. Way to go, Phillip!

Rebel Wilson

The world took notice of Rebel Wilson in 2011 when she had a hilarious bit part as Kristen Wiig‘s roommate in Bridesmaids, but 2012 was certainly her year to shine. Not only did the Australian actress star in the ensemble comedy What to Expect When You’re Expecting back in May, but she also showed off her vocal chops in the sleeper hit, Pitch Perfect. She already has a number of projects lined up for 2013 including Chris Colfer‘s Struck By Lightning, Pain and Gain with Mark Wahlberg but she also has a TV show titled Super Fun Night in the works. We have a feeling Rebel is here to stay!

Universal Pictures

Ryan Beatty

Ryan Beatty has made quite the name for himself on the music scene! Thanks to music videos such as “Hey L.A.” and “Every Little Thing,” millions have been singing along to his tunes on YouTube!

Sam Claflin

One of Sam’s first big roles was in 2011′s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and his career has only gotten hotter from there! Not only did he star alongside Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron in Snow White and the Huntsman, but he got cast as Finnick Odair in a little film called The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, maybe you’ve heard of it? Sam nabbed the highly-coveted role, and we predict he’ll be a household name by this time next year!

The Wanted

Though they’ve been labeled “bad boys” thanks to their on-going feud with One Direction, there’s no denying the guys of The Wanted have released some catchy tunes this year! The guys were first noticed for their hit song “Glad You Came” then followed it up with “I Found You.” 2012 was big for them, and we’re sure 2013 will only be bigger!

Rebel Wilson to Host the 2013 MTV Movie Awards (VIDEO)

MTV

MTV

Rebel Wilson. She’s come a long way from spilling peas on her infected tattoo in Bridesmaids. In 2012, she starred in BacheloretteWhat to Expect When You’re Expecting and, of course, Pitch Perfect, as well as voiced a character in Ice Age: Continental Drift. And it seems like she’s already planning to exercise her comedic chops in the upcoming year because she’s just been announced as the host of the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

The first promo for the awards show, which aired for the first time last night during the season finale of Jersey Shore, shows a handcuffed Rebel being tortured by a band of men — including her on-screen Bridesmaids brother, Matt Lucas! — to tell them when the date of the show would be. Though she has no lines in the scene, she still adds humor to the routine. You’ll see. According to the network, Rebel will “redefine the MTV Movie Awards with her top secret plans.”

At the 2012 event, while presenting the award for Best Female Video, the Australian actress stole the spotlight from The Wanted – and kind of embarrassed them — as she donned a shirt with a picture of a girl in a skimpy pink bikini and said, “MTV told me if I presented, I would get to take home one of The Wanted… It’s gonna take me a while to choose, so you guys better throw to the nominees.”

Besides acting as a replacement for last year’s host, Kevin Hart, Rebel’s also portraying Chris Colfer‘s best friend in his debut film, Struck by Lightning, due January 11, and she’s also in talks to star in the potential Pitch Perfect sequel. So brace yourself for a whole lot o’ Rebel.

The 2013 MTV Movie Awards airs Sunday, April 14. Who do you hope scores a nomination? What do you think of the host? Watch the promo, then tell us your thoughts!

‘Pitch Perfect’ Star Rebel Wilson to Host the 2013 MTV Movie Awards (VIDEO)

The MTV Movie Awards just got a little funnier.

Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson has been chosen to emcee the April 14 ceremony. And while the show is still months away, the comedienne is already bringing on the laughs.

During Thursday night’s Jersey Shore series finale, viewers got a sneak peek of Wilson’s comedic chops in a short trailer also starring her Bridesmaids costar (and good pal) Matt Lucas.

Wilson’s hosting gig marks the first time a woman has helmed the show since Sarah Silverman in 2007. But, she’s no stranger to MTV’s award shows: Wilson made an unforgettable appearance at this year’s VMAs, presenting alongside Brit boy band The Wanted in a bikini T-shirt while snacking on potato chips.

After landing a breakout role as Kristen Wiig‘s odd roommate in 2011′s Bridesmaids, the Aussie actress quickly rose to fame with her quirky, over-the-top humor.  In 2012 alone, she starred in Bachelorette, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and most recently, Pitch Perfect.

Who’s your favorite MTV awards show host so far? And do you think Rebel has what it takes? Watch the full-length video above, then sound off in the comments!

Rebel Wilson’s Co-Star Confirms That She’s in Talks for ‘Pitch Perfect’ Sequel

Universal

Universal

Get your ears prepared for some more musical bliss, a Pitch Perfect sequel may be in the works. Along with this week’s release of the PP DVD and Blu-ray comes talk of a second installment (and even a potential franchise).

Though there’s been no word on if its lead, Anna Kendrick, would/will make her return, another one of the movie’s stars confirms that both he and another special cast member have already discussed the matter with studio executives. Skylar Astin, who plays Anna’s love interest, Jesse, in the original, tells movieweb.com, “I do have a meeting with a Universal representative next week. And I know that Rebel Wilson had hers last weekend. It’s definitely a talking point.”

As for what he’d like to see in the possible Pitch Perfect 2: “I think that I am willing to do anything. I like to collaborate. If my voice will be heard, than I will do some research and think about it. There are definitely times where I am listening to the radio, and I think, ‘That would be awesome. I would love to sing that.’ It’s this weird karaoke fantasy that I might someday get to live out on the big screen. Then again, I know there are so many politics in that decision-making. Also relevance. If we film this next year, and it doesn’t come out for another year and a half, will that song still be popular? Will it be over-played? I think they did such a perfect job. The music landed so perfectly when it came out the first time, I can’t imagine, if the same people are involved, that lightning won’t strike twice. I will sing whatever they want me to sing.”

Mark Wahlberg Flexes Biceps, Comedic Chops in Michael Bay’s ‘Pain & Gain’ Trailer (VIDEO)

Mark Wahlberg doesn’t want to wear sweatpants anymore.

At least, that’s what his character Daniel Lugo says in the new action comedy Pain & Gain.

On Wednesday, Paramount Pictures unveiled the brand new trailer for the Michael Bay film, based on the true story of a group of Miami bodybuilders who get involved in a kidnapping plot.

Wahlberg and his bulging biceps are in good company. Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub and their respective muscles also star in the film, along with Rebel Wilson, Ed Harris and Ken Jeong.

Pain & Gain is Bay’s first foray into dark comedy, but from this first look, there are still plenty of explosions, fast cars and testosterone to go around.

Wahlberg, who will reteam with Bay in 2013 for the next Transformers movie, recently told Collider about the chemistry he had with his blockbuster of a director on set.

“We kind of complemented each other throughout the entire process, what he does and what I do and what we were able to do together, and then after that I was like, ‘Dude we gotta work together again,’ and he was like, ‘Well I got a project, you interested?’”

Pain & Gain opens in theaters Apr. 26, 2013.

Charlie Sheen, Jude Law, George Clooney: Top 10 Celebrity Quotes of the Week (GALLERY)

“In a weird way, it’s kind of a relief to think, ‘Oh, I know I’m not that young sort of pretty thing anymore.’ It’s quite nice talking about what it was like to be the young pretty thing, rather than being it.”

Which seasoned star said he is retiring his title as Hollywood’s hottest?

Was it or Charlie Sheen, Jude Law, or George Clooney?

Find out in Celebuzz’s top quotes of the week.

Which handsome actor said he has outgrown being the pretty young thing?

It was Jude Law!

The 39-year-old English actor has been known as one of Hollywood’s reigning heartthrobs. But now, he is finally ready to throw in the towel.

In an interview with T, The New York Times Style Magazine, the Anna Karenina star verbally dethrones himself — and he seems relieved about it.

Law has received constant recognition for his charmingly good-looks throughout his career, most notably being named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2004. He was also previously linked to bombshell Sienna Miller, gaining the unofficial title of “most beautiful couple,” before a nanny scandal and inevitable split.

He may be over it, but we’re not sure we’re ready to let him retire.

Do you still consider Jude Law eye candy? Sound off in the comments below.

GIFts For You: Funny GIFs to Get You to the Weekend

What’s that? Oh, we just got you a present: some GIFts! You don’t have to thank us; it’s our pleasure. Besides, everyone knows you should have at least one cute animal GIF, one sassy baby GIF, or one One Direction GIF in your Wednesday. Luckily, we have all three!

So, let’s try to answer Niall Horan‘s question.

…If we can figure out who he’s talking about. Is it Nicki Minaj‘s pink hair or poof-poof dress? Or the fact that she’s standing with Justin Bieber in a pool?

Miley Cyrus is confused as we are.

But this dog is just like, “SAY WHAAAAAT?”

And his BFF baby friend is like, “No freakin’ clue!”

…Oh. That‘s it. (And Emma Stone has no idea! If Ellen knows, she’s not giving anything away.)

That dude’s got the energy of Rebel Wilson (errr…”Fat Amy”) in Pitch Perfect.

Plus, the ferocity of this little dude at New York Comic Con.

Anna Kendrick, however? Not impressed.
