‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Is ‘Still Bitter’ About His Failed ‘Survivor’ Tryout (VIDEO)

ARROW PILOT

Stephen Amell may be riding high on the success of his hit CW show Arrow these days, but the 31-year-old originally had his eyes set on the reality TV world.

“I love Survivor,” he told Celebuzz at the People’s Choice Awards red carpet on Wednesday.

“I was totally bummed out because I can’t go on it, because I’m Canadian. I literally tried, a year and a half ago. I met with the casting director and then we found out that I [couldn’t go on]. So, I survived my own fictional island instead. I’m still bitter.”

Amell, who was on hand to present an award for favorite movie actress, looked dapper in an Armani suit for the Los Angeles gathering.

While no specifics were leaked regarding Arrow’s current season, Amell promised viewers that the next couple of episodes will be thrilling.

“We’re really exploring the island right now, spending a lot of time there. And there are some questions that people have been wanting answer to since the pilot, that we’re zeroing in on.”

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8PM on The CW.

People’s Choice Awards: All the Winners from the 2013 Event

WENN

WENN

In case you missed the live showing of the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, we’re bringing you all of the winner’s from the event. But before we get to the nitty-gritty details, let us preface this by saying that The Hunger Games cleaned house, taking home six — count them again – six of the night’s biggest honors, including Favorite Movie and Favorite Movie Actress, Jennifer Lawrence. It was kind of like this year’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, which garnered an impressive amount of awards at the 2012 show.

Speaking of HP, its heroine, Emma Watson, snagged herself a trophy last night for her role in the now PCA-winning The Perks of Being a Wallflower (Favorite Dramatic Movie).

One surprise we will comment on is the winner of Favorite Breakout Star: The Wanted. As big of fans as we are of the boy band, we were a bit shocked that One Direction didn’t win this category, since, based on Twitter fans alone, TW has 1.8 million followers while 1D has 9.1 million. Guess the votes just fell in The Wanted’s favor, eh? The acceptance speech was cute, though. The guys admitted that they never won anything before, so to commemorate their first real award, they sang “Afternoon Delight” — to Ellen DeGeneres… Okay, onto all the rest!

PCAs 2013: Let’s Talk Fashion!

Jennifer Aniston Rocks Sexy Leather Dress at People’s Choice Awards 2013 (PHOTOS)

Talk about a winning look.

Jennifer Aniston turned every head in the room inside the Nokia Theater when she showed up to accept the award for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards.

The 43-year-old beauty, who is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, donned a black leather dress to the event, which she paired with her signature long locks and, of course, her engagement ring.

“I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be honored with this again, after supporting me for almost 20 years and allowing me to keep doing this,” Aniston said during her speech.

Aniston just returned from a whirlwind holiday trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she spent much of her time in a bikini and getting her PDA on with Theroux. See photos from Aniston’s vacation, below.

The people have spoken!

Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift were among the early winners at the 2013 People’s Choice Awards, held Wednesday night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.

Aniston — who just wrapped a rather sexy vacation in Cabo with fiance Justin Theroux — accepted the award for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress in a gorgeous leather black dress, and thanked fans for letting her do what she loves to do.

“I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be honored with this again, after supporting me for almost 20 years and allowing me to keep doing this,” Aniston said.

Swift, meanwhile, won for Favorite Country Artist.

“I want to the fans, because this is a fan-voted award and I love you with all my heart!” an overwhelmed Swift — who just broke up with boyfriend Harry Styles — told the crowd.

Other big winners of the night were Chris Colfer and Lea Michele, who won Favorite Comedic TV Actor and Actress, respectively, for Glee; and Jennifer Lawrence, who won Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Face of Heroism for The Hunger Games.

“Thank you for loving movies as much as I do,” said Lawrence, who also won for Favorite Face of Heroism.

Sandra Bullock was also honored with a special award — Favorite Humanitarian — for her charity work, including her work with New Orleans’s Warren Easton Charter High School.

“I’m not at all being modest when I say I’m not doing anything compared to what they do on a daily basis,” she said.
