Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult Split: Report

Jennifer Lawrence, who plays heroine Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, has ended her relationship with her boyfriend of the last two years, actor Nicholas Hoult.

“They’re young and grew apart,” a source told In Touch magazine. “But they remain friends.”

There’s no word yet from either of the pair’s representatives.

The pair met on the set of X Men in 2010 and have been open about their relationship ever since.

“[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend too,” the 22-year-old actress told Elle in Dec. 2012. “He’s my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody.”

Lawrence, 22, stepped out solo at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday, where she took home multiple wins, including Favorite Movie Actress.

She’s also secured a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

In response to the nod, Lawrence said: “Wow. I’m so lucky and to be in a category of other talents – Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Emily Blunt, who have also portrayed independently-minded and driven female characters… that’s very cool. ”

Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult Split: Report

Wenn

Wenn

It’s being reported that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have gone their separate ways. The couple, who met on the set of X-Men: First Class back in 2010, had been dating for just about two years. Apparently, the two split because of their busy schedules. Jen was off filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire from September to December in both Atlanta and Hawaii, respectively, while Nick has been promoting his upcoming zombie rom-com Warm Bodies.

In addition to Jen’s Catching Firing shooting schedule, she was on the promotion trail for Silver Linings Playbook, and is currently in the midst of a very hectic awards season. On Thursday, Jen won a Critic’s Choice Award for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook, and is also nominated for a Golden Globe and an Academy Award (her second nomination in two years), as well. Also, Nick not only has Warm Bodies coming out on February 1, but his film Jack the Giant Slayer is set to hit theaters on March 1.

Though the two have reportedly split they will reunite to film X-Men: Days of Future Past, the sequel to X-Men: First Class, a little later this year. In the film, Jen plays mutant Mystique, the love interest to Nick’s Beast character.

Jen was never one to shy away from talking about Nick, as she told Elle magazine back in December, “[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend too. He’s my favorite person to be around and makes me laugh harder than anybody.”

What do you think about this possible split? Let us know in the comments.

Joey Interviews The Cast of ‘Warm Bodies’

Teresa Palmer and Nicholas Hoult Make an Adorable Inter-Species Couple in ‘Warm Bodies’ (VIDEO)

Young Adult lit fans worried that Twilight’s Bella and Edward might be the movies’ last supernatural-fantasy couple can rest easy: Warm Bodies is set to be the next great romance featuring two characters not just from different walks of life, but different species.

In the upcoming film, Nicholas Hoult plays R, a zombie who takes a shine to Julie (Teresa Palmer), the girlfriend of one of his latest meals. The duo make an unlikely but unexpectedly charming pair after R brings her back to his lair, vowing to protect her from his brains-eating brethren even as he shows her the post-living world he’s created for himself in an abandoned airplane.

But in a new clip exclusive to Celebuzz, R and Julie find their burgeoning romance tested after the prejudices of others – namely, Julie’s father, General Grigio (John Malkovich) – threaten to keep them separated, permanently, by putting a couple of bullets into R’s undead head.

Audiences know Hoult from his turn as Hank McCoy, a/k/a Beast, in X-Men: First Class, while Palmer made a case for changing the name of I Am Number Four as the title character’s ass-kicking companion, Number Six. Writer-director Jonathan Levine wrung both comedy and drama out of the true-life story of a cancer patient’s efforts to fight off his disease in 50/50, after introducing himself to the world with the ‘90s-set dramedy The Wackness.

Watch Celebuzz’ exclusive clip for Warm Bodies, which breaks down the world and the characters within the film. And then let us know in the comments below – how excited are you for a new movie about forbidden love?

Joey Graceffa Interviews ‘Warm Bodies’ Stars Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer

It’s been a busy few weeks for Joey Graceffa! Not only did he interview Chris Colfer and Sarah Hyland about their new movie Struck By Lighting, but he also got to chat with the cast of Warm Bodies! That’s right, Joey sat down with the handsome Nicholas Hoult and the gorgeous Teresa Palmer to talk all about their new zombie rom-com that’s out on February 1. Since the movie is a love story set during a zombie apocalypse, Joey started off the interview by offering the stars some “brain” candy — and they loved it! The co-stars also talk about their experience of making the film, some of their favorite memories, as well as what it was like hiding their accents (Teresa is Australian, Nick is a Brit). That’s not the best part, because Joey got to get zombie-fied just like they did in the movie! To see the whole interview as well as Joey’s transformation, watch the video above!

Since we already know that Warm Bodies is going to be the next big thing — you saw our set visit, right?! — we couldn’t keep these new images to ourselves. Courtesy of Summit, you can now see more pictures of Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer getting their zombie-human love on, as well as stills of Dave Franco, Analeigh Tipton, Rob Corddry, and John Malkovich, and behind-the-scenes photos. We know, it’s a lot to take in.

To give you some background, Nicholas Hoult plays a zombie who doesn’t know when he lost his life, how he ended up in an abandoned airport, or even his own name. So he just refers to himself as “R.” (You can get all of this information from the first 4 minutes of the movie.) “R” falls in love with Julie (Teresa Palmer), the girlfriend of one of his victims (Dave Franco). After they become involved, their romance “sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.”

Warm Bodies hits theaters February 1. For more pictures — new and old — check out the zombie-filled gallery below. P.S. Make sure to stay tuned for our interviews with the cast!

EXCLUSIVE: “I Was a Zombie in Warm Bodies!

Teresa Palmer & Nicholas Hoult: ‘Warm Bodies’ Stills!

Teresa Palmer & Nicholas Hoult: 'Warm Bodies' Stills!

Teresa Palmer and Nicholas Hoult get drenched after taking an un-planned dip in a lagoon in this new still from Warm Bodies.

The 26-year-old actress chatted with Collider about her character, Julie’s will to escape and live.

“There are some funny scenes where she starts to plot this idea to get him out of the plane. She pretends that she’s hungry and she wants him to leave. Then as soon as he walks out you see her get up and sprint to the window to make sure he’s gone and then she just legs it and she’s out of there. But, sure enough, she’s in this area where there are just hundreds of zombies who just start attacking her and, again, he’s forced to save her life,” Teresa shared.

She added, “I think she realizes she’s kind of powerless. There’s not much she can do. It’s funny though, I think, after the first few days she realizes, ‘This is my situation and I’m going to make the best of it.’ When she lets down her guard like that, that’s when the friendship and ultimate relationship starts to blossom.”

EXCLUSIVE: “I Was a Zombie in ‘Warm Bodies’ with Nicholas Hoult!”

Warm Bodies Movie Set Visit

Step aside, vampires and werewolves. There are new creatures taking over in 2013: zombies, like in Warm Bodies. Oh, and I was one of them! One of many perks of working at Teen.com is the opportunity for visiting movie sets. However, never have I ever experienced the treat Summit Entertainment — ya know, the peeps behind The Twilight Saga — had in store for the press on this trip.

In November of 2011, I not only went behind the scenes of the Montreal set of Warm Bodies, but I also had the chance to interview its stars, Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer, and actually be in the movie, makeup treatment and all, as a zombie extra! Though I couldn’t bring all of you physically with me, I want (slash need) to share the once-in-a-lifetime experience with you…

Part One: Makeup and Wardrobe
Since we were to get the full zombie regimen from head to toe, we were asked to arrive “fresh-faced,” meaning sans any sort of beauty products. After taking before shots (top left), I was escorted inside where I was presented with a selection of various torn-up pieces of clothes. The final ensemble: the loose, indigo dress you see below, along with a matching pair of heeled boots, ripped stockings, and a black belt. Then came makeup and hair. Note the fine veins on my face and neck, shadows around the eyes, the crunchy, dirty job they did on my locks… (The stylist was very proud of my ‘do; it took a long time to get it looking like someone had puked all over it.)

Warm Bodies Movie Set Visit

Part Two: Filming!
If you’ve seen the trailer, then you should know that a majority of this flick takes place at an abandoned airport. That’s where we were for what seemed like an entire day. Actual time: roughly 9 hours. Let me tell you, it’s hard work being an extra. I am literally in awe of the people who do it every day, because by the time the press left, everyone had sore ankles. No complaints, though! The scenes we shot were awesome. One involved all of us, along with the professionals — including Nick! — zombie-walking throughout the airport as a dog ran through, while being chased by “Bonies.” (In case you’re not familiar, Bonies are described as skeletons with skin stretched over them.) The other, some more of the same — minus the dog, but still cool!

Part Three: Cast Interviews
In between scenes, I had the opportunity to speak with Nick and Teresa individually. Nick mentioned that he was a fan of my makeup job (!!!), as well as how his look compares to his costume in X-Men: First Class. (Obviously, this one took way less time to put together.) Teresa is gorgeous. Do you know how hard it was to stand next to her looking like… the way I looked?! Anyway, since she always manages to work with hotties — like Alex Pettyfer in I Am Number Four — that was a clearly a hot-button topic for us. Apparently she doesn’t get phased by the guys’ looks. Hey, that’s why she’s the pro and I’m not.

Part Four: “Cast” Shots
Prior to leaving for the day, our group was able to snap some pics to commemorate our experience. We then proceeded to the dressing rooms to de-robe, and attempt to wipe off some of the makeup. FYI, I took two baths and a shower when I got back to the hotel. Literally. That’s how much was on us. Was it exhausting? Yes. Would I do the whole Warm Bodies experience all over again? Absolutely!

Ender’s Game (November 1, 2013)

OK, we know that most of the movies on our list are adaptations of YA novels, but we just can’t help it — they all look so good! This next flick we’re excited for is Ender’s Game. This book was actually published back in 1985, and has taken this long to get to the big screen due to its complex nature. Starring Hugo‘s Asa Butterfield, Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeld, and Harrison Ford, it’s about a gifted young boy (Asa) who is recruited to a special school to help fight off an alien attack.

Last, but certainly not least, it’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire! Though we’ve seen sneak peeks of the cast filming in Atlanta and Hawaii, we just can’t wait to see this movie hit the big screen. Obviously the first one was great, but we’re excited to see the cast back in action (Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, etc), as well as the new additions (Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair), and Francis Lawrence (the new director) bring CF to the big screen.

‘Warm Bodies’ Sneak Peek: Watch the First 4 Minutes of the Zombie Rom-Com (VIDEO)

The first four minutes of your new favorite zombie rom-com, Warm Bodies, has hit the web — and it looks like a bloody good time.

Based on the novel by Isaac Marion, the film follows teenage zombie R (Nicholas Hoult) as he falls in love with a human girl named Julie (Teresa Palmer) and soon realizes she makes him feel very human things.

In the first four minutes of the film, R wanders aimlessly through a destroyed airport, dreaming of what the zombies he passes by used to be like when they were living humans — and commenting on his “terrible” posture. R also warns of the Bonies, savage creatures who’ll “eat anything with a heartbeat.” Eek!

Unfortunately for R, it’s only a matter of time before he becomes a Bonie too. As he watches a zombie take off a chunk of what used to be flesh, he muses, “This is what I have to look forward to.”

Then R’s best friend  (Rob Corddry) – because zombies have BFFs too – and they engage some grunt-filled conversation.

Warm Bodies hits theaters Feb. 1. Are you excited for the new zombie flick starring X-Men: First Class star Nicholas Hoult? Sound off in the comments!
