‘Gangnam Style’ Reaches ‘NFL on FOX’: Jimmy Johnson and Crew Do the Dance for New Promo (VIDEO)

It was only a matter of time before “Gangnam Style” hit the NFL circuit — by way of the broadcasters on FOX.

Last week, Jimmy Johnson, Jay Glazer, Terry Bradshaw and other members of the NFL on FOX team danced to Psy’s viral hit for a new TV promo. While the reception has been a hairline compared to the actual video’s YouTube record (20,000 views vs. 430 million, and growing), the video has slowly made its way to sports fans and sports blogs across the country.

“I think I nailed it,” Glazer recently wrote on Twitter, later adding that “Jimmy’s a natural” at the dance.

The NFL Sunday crew joins an already long list of celebrities who have done their own versions of the popular move.

On the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, cast member Bobby Moynihan put on his best Psy face in a sketch that took place at a sports store. The real Psy later joined in for a quick dance.

Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres learned “Gangnam Style” from Psy in a September episode of the talk show. Spears, 30, successfully busted out the moves while wearing high heels and a tight red dress.

Other “Gangnam Style” performances have come via Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino and Extra hosts Maria Menounos and Mario Lopez.

Non-celebrity parodies have also made quite the splash on YouTube, including “Lifeguard Style,” “Gangnam Style Mom” and “Gandalf Style.”

‘Anchorman 2′: Actor Who Played Sportscaster ‘Champ Kind’ Reveals New Details of Sequel (VIDEO)

David Koechner is going to have a very busy year.

On top of prepping for Anchorman 2 alongside Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and the Channel 4 gang, Koechner will have his hands full with fantasy football. This season, the diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan is serving as the new spokesperson for Bud Light’s Fantasy Football League.

Koecher, 50, chatted with Celebuzz about all things NFL: the New York Jets’ quarterback roster, the newest member of the Denver Broncos — and perhaps most importantly – Champ Kind’s future in Anchorman 2, the sequel to the 2004 cult comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

“What I’ve been told is that the movie will be set around the advent of the 24 hour news channel,” Koecher revealed, adding that filming is slated for Feb. 2013.

“The director’s given me a couple of jokes that Champ is going to be purveying and some situations that he’s going to be in.”

Click after the jump for more details — then watch the video for Champ’s trademark Whammy!

Koechner was careful not to spill the beans on the sequel’s plans, including the possible return of Vince Vaughn, who has hinted that he could reprise his role as Wes Mantooth.

“The internet is a wonderful gossip rag. Who knows what’s going to happen?” Koechner said.

When Celebuzz asked Koechner to weigh in on the soap opera of Peyton Manning, who just began his five-year contract with the Broncos, the comedian held nothing back.

“I just hope the best for his health, to be honest, that’s all. I just want the guy to make it through. I don’t want him to win. I’m a Chiefs fan… sorry, I don’t want him to win. No,” Koechner says.

What about, Tebow v Sanchez?

“It’s going to be a beautiful side soap opera, which is going to be a lot of fun to watch develop week to week. That’s what I love about the NFL,” Koechner said of the dueling Jets QBs Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez.

“It’s tough when one player gets, you know, all the blame — or all the credit.”

Mariah Carey Flaunts Curves at NFL Kickoff With Pet Pooch by Her Side (PHOTOS)

Mariah Carey looked triumphant at the NFL Opening Kickoff in New York City Wednesday night.

Stunning in two form-fitting dresses, the 42-year-old singer belted out her latest single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” with all of the bells and whistles one would expect: male backup dancers, wind machines and a matching sheer shawl.

And in true diva fashion, Carey waited one minute and 30 seconds into the track before making her grand entrance onto the stage.

The newly-appointed ‘American Idol’ judge also surprised the audience by performing one of her classics.

After trading in her gold, glitzy frock for an even flashier black mini dress, Carey treated fans to her signature song “Touch My Body” with her pet pooch under her arm. The Jack Russell terrier, named Jill. E Beans, is just one of Carey’s five dogs — and perhaps her favorite judging by the pup’s on-stage appearance.

Hopefully, Carey will bring some of her diva-tude to the American Idol judges table when the show returns. With ratings plummeting, Fox will be banking on the singer’s signature sass to give the reality singing competition a much-needed boost.

Carey wasn’t the only artist on hand to help kick off the 2012 NFL season. No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani graced the stage — with her band — to perform the group’s first single in nearly a decade, “Settle Down.” No Doubt’s comeback album, Push and Shove, will hit shelves Sept. 25.

There are rumors floating around that the 19-year-old is dating Dancing With The Stars pro Kym Johnson – who is 35. Reports are that the couple had their first official date in London last week, taking in a production of Singin’ in the Rain at London’s Palace Theatre.

Miley & The Strokes Scores Second-Highest Ratings of the Season

– In the preliminary numbers Saturday Night Live hosted by Miley Cyrus with musical guest The Strokes tied its second highest rating of the season with adults 18-49 with a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with Local People Meters. That trails only the January 8 telecast which was boosted by having an NFL playoff game as its lead in.

That’s also 10% better than the preliminary 3.0 18-49 rating for the show hosted by Russell Brand with musical guest Chris Brown on February 12. As has typically been the case (other than the aforementioned NFL playoff game), SNL was the number one show of the night with adults 18-49, bettering everything in primetime.

via NBC press note:

n late-night metered-market households Saturday night:
“Saturday Night Live” (5.4/13 in metered-market households), hosted by Miley Cyrus with musical guest The Strokes, dominated its time period. “SNL” was the #1 telecast of the night in metered-market households ahead of all primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox. Versus the same night last year, “SNL” is up 8 percent in metered-market households (5.4 vs. 5.0).

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Saturday Night Live” averaged a 3.3 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49, making it the #1 program of the night, more than doubling each primetime telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox

In the 25 Local People Meter markets, “Saturday Night Live’s” 3.3 matched the show’s second-highest 18-49 rating of the season (also earned on February 5 with host Dana Carvey and musical guest Linkin Park), behind only the January 8 telecast, which benefited from a high-rated primetime NFL game on NBC that night.
