Katie Holmes has been “ordered” by doctors to “put Suri down,” reports Star, which reveals physicians “warned” the actress, who was in a car accident, “that she’ll do real harm to her back if she keeps carrying around her nearly 7-year-old daughter.” For the even more surprising reason docs don’t want Holmes lifting Suri, go to Gossip Cop.

What Do Pop Tarts, Fried Chicken and Red Hots Have In Common?

Pickles and ice cream may be the typical pregnancy cravings, but Hollywood’s finest are proof positive that the strange urges don’t stop there.

For Katie Holmes, cupcakes were the one snack that remained on her mind throughout her pregnancy with daughter Suri Cruise, now six. And she wasn’t particular about where she satisfied her sweet tooth: the former Dawson’s Creek star is known to be a patron at Sprinkles, Georgetown Cupcakes and Magnolia Bakery.

It looks like her love for baked goods was passed on to her offspring: Suri’s favorite indulgence is — you guessed it — cupcakes. They both love them so much, in fact, that the two were spotted decorating their own cakes for Holmes’ 34th birthday at Sugar and Plumm in NYC.

Jessica Simpson, meanwhile, had a hankering for Pop Tarts during her pregnancy with daughter Maxwell. She tweeted, “I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning, I’m giving in to my cravings.”

Another starlet who had a serious sweet tooth during her pregnancy was Hilary Duff. She craved all sorts of candies, but Red Hots held a special place in her heart while baby Luca was on board.

They certainly aren’t the only celebs had unusual pregnancy cravings. Which starlet hankered for fried chicken, and who only wanted ham-and-cheese sandwiches? Click through the gallery above to find out!

Look What You’re Missing Out on Tom!

Katie Holmes is fighting back at the critics who dared to suggest she lost sex appeal during her six-year relationship with Hollywood star Tom Cruise, displaying some, well, ample cleavage during a photo shoot with photographers Markus and Indrani, for their ICONS book.

The shutterbugs, who will be launching their book in Los Angeles, Calif. Thursday evening, shot one of the most fascinating faces in Hollywood.

It’s one of the more risqué looks for Holmes, 34.

Previously, the mom-of-one debuted as the first-ever celebrity face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics and served as a spokesperson for jeweler H. Stern, along with the fashion lines Miu Miu and Ann Taylor.

Homes split from Cruise, 50, in June last year when she secretly filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable difference.”

They reached a settlement soon after.

Katie Holmes Bonds With Daughter Suri Cruise at Whole Foods in New York

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise snuck in a little mother-daughter bonding time Tuesday evening while shopping at Whole Foods in Manhattan.

Celebuzz spotted the 34-year-old actress inside the franchise’s Chelsea location, where she shopped for food while Suri sat in the front seat of her cart.

Despite her uber-famous status, a makeup-free Holmes blended in perfectly with the crowd, and spent much of her trip doting on her adorable six-year-old daughter.

At one point, Holmes — who donned a light winter coat and had her hair pulled up in the back — was seen giving Suri a big hug near the deli, before the mother-daughter duo, photographed here on Jan. 3, headed to the checkout line.

Holmes, who divorced Suri’s father, Tom Cruise, over the summer, recently wrapped production on the Broadway play Dead Accounts, which closed in early January due to poor ticket sales.

The Chelsea Whole Foods is often a hot-spot for celebrity sightings. Recent sightings include Stephanie March, the wife of chef Bobby Flay and former star of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

That’s all she wrote.

Katie Holmes and her co-stars arrived one last time toNew York City’s Music Box Theater on Sunday for the final performance of their play Dead Accounts.

The show, which opened on Broadway on Nov. 29, announced in late December that it was closing seven weeks ahead of schedule due low ticket sales.

Holmes, 34, portrays a Cincinnati woman named Lorna whose con-man brother Jack (Norbert Leo Butz) unexpectedly returns home from the Big Apple to cause family trouble. Judy GreerJosh Hamilton and Janye Houdyshell also star in the play.

“I have a hard time sleeping because I think about how serious this all is,” Holmes told The New York Times in November.

“I think about the cost of tickets. I think to myself: ‘You better do a good job. People are paying a lot of money.’ You want to know your stuff.’

In her first major acting gig since her highly-publicized divorce from Tom Cruise, Holmes received generally mixed reviews for her role as Lorna.

Dead Accounts will wrap with 27 preview performances and 44 regular performances following Sunday’s matinee.

Holmes last appeared on Broadway in 2008’s revival of All My Sons by Arthur Miller.

Suri Cruise found herself dead-center in a sea of paparazzi on Thursday — and, naturally, she wasn’t happy about it.

Cameras caught the six-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes screaming and crying as she and her mother tried to make their way to to the Music Box Theater, where Holmes is currently starring in the Broadway production of Dead Accounts.

Holmes did her best to shield Cruise from the flashing cameras; however the noise and commotion was more than enough to leave Cruise visibly shaken and perturbed.

Cruise, of course, has been photographed and documented to an obnoxious degree for the majority of her life — but have the paparazzi finally gone too far? Have a look through the gallery, above, then share your thoughts in the comments, below.

Dead Accounts premiered to mixed reviews in November. It is set to close on Sun., Jan. 6, due to low ticket sales.

The role marked Holmes’ first professional gig since her divorce from Cruise was finalized in August.

They were married for five-and-a-half years.

2012 Year in Review: Top 10 Celebrity Newsmakers (PHOTOS)

This past year you’ve been bombarded by emails, overwhelmed with Twitter posts, and called-out in Facebook comments for your stance on Miley’s new ‘do.

You just managed to finish digging through the hefty pile of holiday news alerts only to find that Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together — again.

But you love it. Because a 24/7 news cycle makes the world go ‘round. And none of it would be possible without these celebrity newsmakers.

While many stars graced our headlines this year, it took a special few to flat-out take up real estate.

Kristen Stewart, for one, caused social media networks to implode when she cheated on her oh-so-dreamy Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. She proceeded to cause an even bigger stir after reuniting with R.Patz, dressed in an I don’t give a you-know-what attitude only the biggest of newsmakers knows how to flaunt.

Then there was Kate Middleton, who caused a frenzy of royal proportions when topless photos surfaced of the future queen. Luckily for the Duchess, word of a fetal heir was enough to stifle the outrage and ignite baby fever.

And who could forget Lindsay Lohan? In one year, the troubled starlet was arrested, hit someone with her car, starred in Liz & Dick, and became indebted to the IRS.

It sounds like these guys are ready to ring in 2013.

Without further adieu, we give you the top 10 celebrity newsmakers of 2012—in no particular order.

Katie Holmes’ ‘Dead Accounts’ to Close Early Due to Low Ticket Sales

Katie Holmes‘ Broadway run has been cut short.

Her latest project, Dead Accounts, is set to close seven weeks ahead of schedule — with its last engagement on Jan. 6.

“I am extremely proud of this production and the cast,” producer Jeffrey Finn said in a statement [via E! News]. ”Theresa Rebeck and Jack O’Brien have created an inspiring and hilarious new play, and we are all sad to see Dead Accounts end on Broadway.”

“I look forward to working with this remarkably talented cast and creative team again very soon,” he added.

Dead Accounts is Holmes’ first acting gig since splitting with Tom Cruise on June 29.

The play, which received mixed reviews, revolves around Holmes’ character Lorna, a Cincinnati woman whose con-man brother Jack — played by two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz — unexpectedly returns home from New York City only to turn their family upside down.

According to the New York Times, it reportedly only made just under 25 percent of its potential takings and had the lowest attendance of any show on Broadway, with only 38.1 percent of its seats filled last week.

Dead Accounts will close after 27 preview performances and 44 regular performances at the Music Box Theatre in New York City. It was originally scheduled to end on Feb. 24.

Do you think Holmes’ career will bounce back after the “Dead Accounts” disappointment?  Tell us why — or why not! — in the comments section.

2012 Year in Review: The 20 Biggest Weddings, Breakups and Makeups

Just like the rest of the world, love makes the Hollywood go round.

This year had no shortage of romance among the stars. From Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel saying “I do” under the stars in Southern Italy, to Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively secretly getting hitched on a sprawling Southern plantation, many buzzed-about celebrity couples found their happily-ever-after in 2012.

Even some of the industry’s most beloved golden girls turned bridal. Natalie Portman tied the knot with her Benjamin Millepied in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, Calif., where Anne Hathaway also walked down the aisle at sunset to wed Adam Shulman.

Drew Barrymore vowed for forever with Will Kopleman at her Montecito, Calif. estate, while Carey Mulligan took the plunge with Mumford & Sons musician Marcus Mumford in the countryside of Somerset, England.

But wedded bliss didn’t bless everyone, with many longtime lovers calling it quits in 2012. After almost seven years of marriage, Heidi Klum and Seal announced their separation in January before officially filing for divorce three months later.

Parting ways after five wedded years, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes — long labeled Tomkat — reached a surprisingly speedy divorce settlement after just 11 days in July, with the actress receiving primary custody of the couple’s six-year-old daughter, Suri.

But not all of Hollywood’s bitter breakups stuck. Back in July, Kristen Stewart was infamously snapped smooching her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, seemingly ruining her three-year relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. But Twihard broken hearts were soon on the mend, as Stewart and Pattinson were spotted canoodling in Los Angeles, Calif., in October.

Now, as the countdown begins to 2013, look back at this year’s biggest weddings, breakups and makeups.

Which wedding took the cake? What split was most shocking? And which makeups were meant to be? Share your thoughts in comments below.
