PST: Matthew McConaughey took to social media Saturday to officially announce to his fans the gender and name of his newborn: “Camila (@iamcamilaalves) gave birth to our third child yesterday morning. Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43am on 12.28.12,” he wrote on his Whosay page. “He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches. Bless up and thank you for your well wishes. Happy New year, and just keep livin, Camila and Matthew McConaughey.”
Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves has given birth to the couple’s third child.
The Brazilian model delivered a baby girl at a hospital in Austin, Texas, on Friday morning, TMZ reports.
The Magic Mikestar was with his wife when she delivered the child — the couple has two other children Levi, 4, and Vida, 2.
McConaughey announced he and his wife were expecting their third child two weeks after they got married on June 10.
He tweeted: “Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child.”
Together since 2006 after meeting in a Los Angeles bar, the popular actor and the model got engaged on Christmas Day, 2011.
Their colorful wedding saw them set up a makeshift campground on their Austin property where they invited friends and family to join in with the celebrations.
The 6 foot tall heartthrob has caused alarm over recent months after losing 38 pounds to weigh in at 143 pounds to play real life AIDS patient Ron Woodroof in The Dallas Buyer’s Club.
