Hollywood’s Engagement Rings: Who Had the Best Bling in 2012? (POLL)

From colorful rings to traditional baubles, Hollywood’s brides-to-be made quite a sparkly statement in 2012.

The past 12 months have showcased a number of notable jewelry ranging from Blake Lively‘s light pink diamond ring, Halle Berry‘s emerald dazzler, and, most recently, Kelly Clarkson‘s canary diamond sparkler.

“It’s a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it and Brandon designed it with Jonathan Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can’t wait to make Brandon’s ring with Jonathon as well!” Clarkson shared on her WhoSay account Saturday.

While many starlets opted for out-of-the-ordinary jewels, others kept it sweet and classic, like Angelina Jolie‘s custom-cut stunner from Brad Pitt and Avril Lavigne‘s 14-carat pear-shaped ring from Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.

And with so many shapes and sizes to choose from, it’s no wonder why so many stars (and their hot fiancés) opt for the biggest and best engagement bling.

Who do you think had the best bling in 2012? Click through the gallery and then vote for your favorite!

Kate Winslet, Ned Rocknroll Married: 8 Secret Hollywood Weddings (PHOTOS)

Given the fast-paced, round-the-clock world we live in, it’s always surprising when a high-profile Hollywood celebrity manages to pull off a secret wedding.

Oscar-winning beauty Kate Winslet did just that when she married longtime beau Ned Rocknroll earlier this month in New York. (According to reports, not even the couple’s parents knew about the ceremony. In fact, Winslet’s Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio gave her away, instead.)

In fact, many celebrities tied the knot this year without all of the magazine covers and media hoopla to prove it.

Pulling a similar move in September were Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, whose intimate South Carolina nuptials were so low-key, the couple still hasn’t really addressed the ceremony to the media.

Which other stars have managed to marry in secret?

Get your jaws ready to drop, because Celebuzz has pulled together the eight most-memorable private ceremonies.

2012 Year in Review: The 20 Biggest Weddings, Breakups and Makeups

Just like the rest of the world, love makes the Hollywood go round.

This year had no shortage of romance among the stars. From Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel saying “I do” under the stars in Southern Italy, to Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively secretly getting hitched on a sprawling Southern plantation, many buzzed-about celebrity couples found their happily-ever-after in 2012.

Even some of the industry’s most beloved golden girls turned bridal. Natalie Portman tied the knot with her Benjamin Millepied in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, Calif., where Anne Hathaway also walked down the aisle at sunset to wed Adam Shulman.

Drew Barrymore vowed for forever with Will Kopleman at her Montecito, Calif. estate, while Carey Mulligan took the plunge with Mumford & Sons musician Marcus Mumford in the countryside of Somerset, England.

But wedded bliss didn’t bless everyone, with many longtime lovers calling it quits in 2012. After almost seven years of marriage, Heidi Klum and Seal announced their separation in January before officially filing for divorce three months later.

Parting ways after five wedded years, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes — long labeled Tomkat — reached a surprisingly speedy divorce settlement after just 11 days in July, with the actress receiving primary custody of the couple’s six-year-old daughter, Suri.

But not all of Hollywood’s bitter breakups stuck. Back in July, Kristen Stewart was infamously snapped smooching her married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, seemingly ruining her three-year relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. But Twihard broken hearts were soon on the mend, as Stewart and Pattinson were spotted canoodling in Los Angeles, Calif., in October.

Now, as the countdown begins to 2013, look back at this year’s biggest weddings, breakups and makeups.

Which wedding took the cake? What split was most shocking? And which makeups were meant to be? Share your thoughts in comments below.

Blake Lively Dishes on Holiday Favorites in New Gucci Promo: ‘The Most Important Gift Is Something That Lasts’ (VIDEO)

There’s a pretty good chance that Ryan Reynolds will be getting something that smells good for Christmas this year.

This week, Gucci Premiere unveiled a new promo featuring its spokesperson and Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, who opens up about the holidays and what they really mean to her.

“I come from a big family, so the holidays for me is just the time that I’m excited to do nothing but spend time with my family,” the 25-year-old says.

“We love to cook and eat and play games . . . we always cook our meals together and that is such an amazing experience.”

While the Gossip Girl star stays away from specifics on how she’s going to spend the holidays with her husband, Lively does shed light on what kind of gifts she likes to give around the holidays.

“The most important gift is something that lasts,” Lively says in the promo.

“I think things that last are memories, whether it’s a photo album, something that was a meaningful moment, something that you make or really, a fragrance.”

The actress, who bid a final adieu to Gossip Girl earlier this week, goes on to reveal that growing up, fragrances were always popular as gifts in the Lively household.

“It’s also a little bit of a selfish gift because it’s so comforting when you’re near somebody that you love and you recognize their smell . . . it’s a very selfish gift to give because you get so much pleasure out of the gift as well.”

Gucci unveiled Lively’s first commercial for its new fragrance over the summer.

For more of Blake Lively’s new Gucci holiday promo, check out video, above. Then tell us: what’s your favorite kind of holiday gift? Do you prefer one that’s made of memories, like Blake? Or do you like gifts that come from cash?

A Countdown to ‘Gossip Girl’s’ Fashionable Finale

With the series finale of Gossip Girl, comes the end of one of TV’s most stylish shows since Sex and the City.

Blake Lively (aka Serena van der Woodsen) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) filled the stylish shoes Carrie Bradshaw left behind.

More than just a show about love and friendship in NYC, the novel-turned-TV-series also centered around fashion, introduced us to new designers and inspired us with its characters’ glam Manhattan style.

Fashion notables like Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley and Rachel Zoe were among some of the series’ big guest stars, and fashion played a central role in the lives of many of the show’s stars, including Jenny Humphrey (played by Taylor Momsen) and Blair. Even the narrator of the show, the “Gossip Girl” blogger (voiced by Kristen Bell), touched on the pivotal role bloggers began to play in mainstream fashion when the CW series first began in 2007.

Like SATC, there was something for every kind of fashionista: From Serena’s downtown designer duds to Blair’s uptown preppy polish and Georgia Sparks’ (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) edgy-glam style, each episode offered an array of sartorial eye candy. And like Carrie’s flower brooch, curly mane, and name necklace, the privileged characters of Gossip Girlhad their own signature style symbols, such as Serena’s long boho waves, Blair’s headbands, and Jenny’s eye liner.

But it wasn’t just the ladies whose fashion has inspired us. The men’s fashion was as diverse as it was stylish, with the always-dapper Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and his signature J.Press scarf, along with sleek Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and hipster Dan Humphrey (Penn Bagdley).

As Gossip Girl’s characters grew over the past six seasons, so did their style, and the final season has proven to be its most fashionable one yet.

While the genius behind the show’s stylish characters, Eric Daman will be dressing TV’s next big style star, young Carrie Bradshaw in the Carrie Diaries, we’ll miss Gossip Girl‘s stylish socialites.

So as we prepare to say goodbye to Gossip Girl – and it’s weekly dose of designer duds — we’re counting down the final season’s most stylish moments.

Click through the gallery to check out all the fashion from the show’s final season.

Blake Lively, Reese Witherspoon and Heather Locklear: Hottest Star Sightings of the Day (PHOTOS)

Some of Hollywood’s finest have been busy painting the town red — with their outfits.

Blake Lively showed off her gorgeous gams in a bedazzled red number in New York City. The Gossip Girl star was one of many celebrities on hand for the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief concert, held at Madison Square Garden.

The event also drew the likes of Olivia Wilde, Katie Holmes and huge performances from music’s biggest names, including Sir Paul McCartney and the Big Apple’s very own Billy Joel.

Meanwhile on the west coast, Reese Witherspoon rocked a cute red print dress and suede boots as she headed out to lunch in Brentwood, Calif. The 36-year-old actress, who gave birth to her third child in September, recently told EXTRA that she’s working on her getting her pre-baby figure back.

“I don’t know if I’m bouncing back. I’m slowly crawling back,” she said.

“You just have to be gentle and patient with yourself . . . and slowly get back to your health.

Heather Locklear was also a vision in red, arriving to the L.A. premiere of This is 40 in a stylish ensemble that included knee high boots and a black leather jacket. The former Melrose Place star was joined by her teenage daughter Ava Elizabeth, who donned a little black dress for the red carpet affair.

In other celebrity sightings, Sarah Jessica Parker and her daughter Tabitha were spotted all bundled up while en route to school.

Lucy Liu and Julianne Moore also dressed appropriately for the New York weather, in equally stylish coats.

For more of the day’s star sightings, check out the latest edition of Celeb Snaps, above.
