It’s one fashion-filled week! After Hollywood kicked off the 2013 red carpet season with the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, the red carpet was rolled out yet again for the Critics Choice Awards last night.

While celebs went flirty and fun for their fans at the PCA’s, they went eclectic and elegant for their critics, as we were treated to another promising prelude to one of the biggest events of the season — Sunday night’s Golden Globes.

For some of this year’s biggest stars, including Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Amanda Seyfried, tonight marked their first big red carpet appearance of the season. Also making their awards season debut were some of the red carpet’s best-dressed regulars — Emily Blunt, Amy Adams and Marion Cotillard.

Like the performances that were recognized, the fashion at the Critics Choice Awards pushed the boundaries to offer something fresh and creative.

Eschewing the expected, last night’s best-dressed winners stepped outside their usual red carpet style zone with both their dresses and their hair and makeup. And they were rewarded for their courage with a best-dressed nod and a confidence boost to carry them into the next red carpet round.

Check out who made our list of the best-dressed stars at the 2013 Critics Choice Awards.

Hottest Star Sightings of the Day (PHOTOS)

Marcia Cross George Cloony and Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman Jessica Alba Mariah Carey Jenna Elfman

Whether they’re dining out or on a shopping spree, the stars know how to bundle up in style as they hit the streets from coast to coast on Wednesday.

Jessica Alba kept warm in an olive green coat, complete with faux fur detail, as she left trendy eatery Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 31-year-old brunette beauty looked refreshed and tanned, thanks to a recent getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where the actress soaked up some sun with hubby Cash Warren and their daughters, Honor, 4, and Haven, 16 months.

On the East Coast, Anne Hathaway took a stroll along Madison Avenue in NYC wearing an winter ensemble complete with a billowy blue scarf, beanie and tan-colored coat.

Just the night before, the 30-year-old Les Miserables star donned a gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent tux for the annual National Board of Review Awards Gala, where her critically-acclaimed film was awarded with the prize for Best Ensemble.

Also in the Big Apple, a clean-shaven Andrew Garfield was spotted checking out of his hotel as a car waited nearby. The 29-year-old actor will soon be back at work on the The Amazing Spider-Man set slated for a May 2014 release.

In other celeb sightings, Hilary Duff enjoyed a pilates workout in Toluca Lake, Calif. The 25-year-old, who gave birth to her baby boy Luca about nine months ago, has been hard at work getting her pre-pregnancy body back.

“Working hard with my girl Viv @piloxing kicking my butt!” she wrote on Twitter.

GIFts For You: Funny GIFs to Get You to the Weekend

How’s this for an exciting week? Haylor called it quits (supposedly), One Direction released “Kiss You” (finally), and #cut4bieber became a trending topic on Twitter (say wha-?!). Eh, we shoulda known the easygoing post-holiday jollies wouldn’t last for very long. And so life goes on — with GIFs

If you’re like Rachel Berry, this celebrity drama probably seems, like, so, stupid. Why not watch some actual dramas, you know?

But, hey, surprises are entertaining! Even when they don’t happen in our own lives. (Though we’re sure the Pretty Little Liars girls have already had enough surprises to last a lifetime.)

It’s a scary, scary world out there, and it’s easier to stumble into someone else’s problems. Maybe not healthy, but definitely easier. Just don’t try to push anyone, like young Carrie Bradshaw.

And yet, this involvement is still an emotional experience. Like, re: Haylor, do you side with Taylor Swift or Harry Styles? If you’re a Swiftie and a Directioner, must you choose your allegiance? #problems (Hollaback to Zac Efron, circa High School Musical. That Troy had ALL the feels even way back when.)

Too bad he didn’t have a golden retriever to comfort him — in GIF form or IRL.

But now, thanks to the wonders of 2013, we already have fifty bajillion “Kiss You” GIFs right at our fingertips, capturing everything from Louis Tomlinson‘s surfing shimmy…

…to Harry Styles going with the flow.

Take a break, take a feline GIF. How can you be too grumpy when you have a cat being grumpy for you?

So, in closing. GIF therapy is a thing, celebs are cray cray, everyone loves feline GIFs, and even Les Mis Anne Hathaway says…

Stars to Watch for on the Red Carpet This Awards Season (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

Half the fun of awards shows is what happens beforehand.

We’re talking about the red carpet fashion show that precedes all the season’s big awards show, from the People’s Choice Awards to the Golden Globes and Oscars.

If it weren’t for the red carpet, how would Angelina Jolie’s left leg ever have launched its career as an Internet meme? Or how would we have seen Ryan Seacrest falter as Sacha Baron Cohen (aka “The Dictator”) dumped ashes on his shiny new tux — and hair.

And of course, without the pre-show red carpet extravaganza, we wouldn’t get some of the most memorable fashion moments.

While the ridiculous easily come to mind (recall: Bjork‘s swan costume at the 2001 Oscars or Lara Flynn Boyle’s ballerina costume at the 2003 Golden Globe Awards), some red carpet gowns have been responsible for launching a career or two. Nicole Kidman’s chartreuse Dior Haute Couture dress at the 1997 Oscars and Michelle Williams’ canary Vera Wang confection at the 2006 Oscars are just two examples of game-changing gowns.

Who are this year’s front contenders for the red carpet’s best-dressed lists? And which stars could launch their red carpet career this awards show season?

To prep you for the official start of this year’s Awards Show Season — which starts this week with the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday followed by the Golden Globes on Sunday — we’ve rounded up a list of the starlets to look out for on the red carpet.

A few are best-dressed regulars, while others have had one or two…or three (but who’s counting?) fashion mishaps before. (One actress even challenges the standard convention that pants are necessary in public, but that makes her all the more interesting to watch, no?)

Take a look at the stars we’ll be watching out for this red carpet season and see if you agree.

Who are you most excited to see on the red carpet this season?

Play the video for a look back at the best and worst red carpet moments of 2012.

It may have been back to reality for most of us who had to return to work last week, but A-listers like Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo and  Julianne Hough extended their holiday vacations into the New Year.

From the beaches of St. Barts and Mexico to Miami, Hollywood’s hottest stars celebrated the New Year with some fun in the sun.

While they may have taken a break from the set, these stars didn’t slack on style during their beach getaways.

Wowing us with more than just their beach bods, Palermo, and Hough both hit the sand in style, donning chic cover-ups over bright or white (in Hough’s case) bikinis to catch some rays with their main men in toe.

Also scoring major points in the style and bikini body departments,Naomi Watts, and Jessica Alba and Cindy Crawford all looked impossibly chic while playing in the sand and ocean with their families.

Flaunting her baby bump, mom-to-be Jenna Dewan-Tatum channeled her tropical surroundings in colorful prints while enjoying a beach babymoon with husband Channing Tatum.

But what really took these star’s resort-wear to the next level were the finishing touches. Fashionable flair — straw fedoras, retro shades, stacked bangles, beaded necklaces, printed beach bags — took these beach babes’ style from chic to magazine-worthy.

Even if you won’t be enjoying a vaca anytime soon, these stars’ resort style will transport you (at least for a few minutes) to someplace fab and fashionable.

Check out the stars’ chic resort style and get inspired to plan your next getaway.

Where do you want to go on your next vacation — and what will you be packing?

Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway: Top 10 Celebrity Quotes of the Week (PHOTOS)

“Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid.”

Which Tinseltown actress was recently heard name-calling her craft?

Was it Scarlett Johannson, Jennifer Lawrence or Anne Hathaway?

Find out in Celebuzz’s top quotes of the week.

Who was the big screen beauty that spoke ill of acting?

It was Jennifer Lawrence!

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the Hollywood newcomer remained modest about her impact as a top actress, explaining that she is no hero, and that acting doesn’t make her one.

“Everybody’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?,’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life.’” she continued. “There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.’”

But some might disagree with Lawrence’s summation that her acting career is “stupid”.

Though she had already achieved Academy Award nominee status for her role in indie film Winter’s Bone back in 2010, the 22-year-old actress only rose to superstardom very recently. As leading lady Katniss Everdeen in the critically acclaimed film adaptation of the novel, The Hunger Games, she obtained international praise and overnight recognition.

Now, she is among the most buzzed about for this year’s Oscars for her role opposite Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook.

All things considered, the young star still isn’t crazy about all the fame.

“I call my mom sobbing all the time … dealing with the repercussions of having no more anonymity. You lose privacy,” she also told the magazine. “As much as this is a curse, as stupid as it sounds, to make as much money as I am by doing something that I love, it’s hard not to regret it when you’re being chased by 15 strangers.”

Stupid or not, we here at Celebuzz hope she doesn’t quit her day job.

Do you think Lawrence’s Silver Linings performance was Oscar-worthy? Sound off in the comments below.

Lala Anthony Posts Photo of Eva Longoria With No Makeup (PHOTO)

Barefaced beauties!

Lala Anthony is the latest celeb to reveal a photo of herself without any makeup on. The reality star rang in the new year with pal Eva Longoria and captioned the Instagram pic: “New Years Resolution, no makeup, no filter LOL. Girls night recovery.”

Both ladies had flawless complexions and looked stunning without even a stitch on but they’re not the only ones who pull off the au naturale look.

A gorgeous Heidi Klum was spotted walking her children to school in Brentwood, Calif. on Nov. 17. The 39-year-old mother flaunted the fresh face that landed her on the runways a decade ago.

Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway grabbed coffee in Brooklyn on Oct. 25 without any help from makeup. Hathaway’s cropped ‘do helped to show off her fair and flawless complexion.

Mother-of-two Nicole Richie went foundation-free when she hit the gym in Los Angeles on Nov. 10. Richie’s workout regimen includes plenty of hours logged with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson, organic juices, and a low maintenance look free of mascara and concealer.

Anne Hathaway Calls Herself ‘Very Vanilla,’ Admits She Has ‘No Sex Appeal’ (PHOTOS)

Though she was recently spotted donning on a slinky Tom Ford gown and bondage-inspired heels at her Les Misérables premiere, actress Anne Hathaway admits she doesn’t find herself as sexy as she’d like.

In the February issue of the UK version of Harper’s Bazaar, the 30-year-old expressed her woes over her “vanilla” image.

“I’m not Rihanna; I’m not cool,” she told the magazine.

“When people come up to me in the street, they often want a hug not a photo, and they want that because they like my work.”

“I was seen as this bizarre-world good-girl cartoon that I in no way identified with — very vanilla, very sweet, very accessible and not interesting,” she added. “I had no grit, no sex appeal.”

However, Hathaway has one fan who will undoubtedly disagree: her husband Adam Shulman.

“He walks into a room, and I light up. I can’t help it,” she said. “A few days into it [filming Les Misérables], I said, ‘I’m having too much fun, I just want to play with you and I need to be really sad right now.’”

She added, “I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life.”

Do you agree with Hathaway’s comments? Take a peek at her lingerie-filled spread in the gallery, then weigh in below.

Demi Lovato, Jessica Simpson, Anne Hathaway: Top 10 Celebrity Quotes of the Week (PHOTOS)

“I don’t know what’s better…Being healthy and really happy, or people noticing how healthy and really happy you are? It’s just surreal. I never knew this kind of happiness existed. Cherishing this moment…So thankful for recovery. God is good.”

Which Hollywood star raved about being in the highest of spirits as we approach the New Year?

Was it Demi LovatoJessica Simpson or Anne Hathaway?

Find out in Celebuzz’s top quotes of the week.

Who was the beaming beauty that couldn’t contain her excitement about her newfound peace and happiness?

It was Demi Lovato!

In a post-Christmas moment of reflection, the X Factor judge tweeted her sublime happiness.

“It’s just an incredible feeling when people who haven’t seen you in a while tell you ‘You look so happy’.. Well I’m glad it shows!!” she continued.

What’s got Demi so elated?

The 20-year-old Unbroken artist has seemingly come into her own after succumbing to her inner demons back in 2010. Plagued by Hollywood pressures to be thin and beautiful, Lovato found herself the brink of a mental breakdown. The starlet snapped and punched one of her dancers on tour, and subsequently checked herself into rehab.

Since her release from rehab, Lovato has been outspoken about her struggle with bulimia, battle with depression, and bipolar disorder diagnosis, hoping to help others who may be enduring the same personal torment.

With a covetable spot as a celebrity judge on X Factor, a new album on the way, and now, these over-the-top blissful tweets, she appears to have succeeded with her recovery.

We wish you well, Demi!

Do you think the former Disney star will hold her place on Simon Cowell’s X Factor, or will she get the axe that is allegedly coming to co-host Britney Spears, as well? Sound off in the comments below.

Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Anne Hathaway and All the Biggest Celebrity Makeovers of 2012 (PHOTOS)

Another year, another round of dramatic celebrity transformations.

Bold haircuts were responsible for changing some of Hollywood’s most famous faces — and setting major trends — in 2012.

Between Anne Hathaway’s buzz cut for her role in Les Miserables to Miley Cyrus’ punk rock ‘do, dramatic haircuts became springboards for both beauties to experiment with more daring personal styles.

But hair wasn’t the only thing transforming some of Tinsletown’s brightest stars. Some of our favorite celebs went through some major weight ups and downs this year as well.

A few inches off the top of her head wasn’t all Hathaway lost for her Les Mis role this year — the Oscar hopeful turned to extreme dieting to lose 25 pounds to play the dying prostitute.

After giving birth to her first child, Jessica Simpson went with a more healthful approach to shed the baby weight, signing on as Weight Watchers’ newest spokesperson to help her shed the rumored 70-plus pounds she gained during her pregnancy. The new mom recently revealed her jaw-dropping weight loss before announcing her second pregnancy earlier this month.

Some stars, however, weren’t satisfied with just one transformation, shocking us with multiple makeovers in 2012.

Moneyball star Jonah Hill slimmed down in the later half of 2011, leaving fans shocked by this actor’s almost-gaunt appearance. But by mid-2012, Hill had filled out to almost his original weight from years prior.

No stranger to shocking looks, Ke$ha shocked critics and fans alike when she showed off a glam new look at the American Music Awards. But it wasn’t long before the edgy singer ditched her blonde waves and soft makeup for a goth-inspired hair and makeup.

Click through the gallery to check out this year’s most dramatic makeovers.
