The British sensation on Tuesday released the live version of ‘When We Were Young’, which is a power ballad.

Absolutely amazing! ‘When We Were Young’ is one of the best power ballads I’ve heard in recent times. It’s kinda reminds me of Mariah Carey’s ‘Without You’.

Hopefully this song will be the second single off 25

Adele Arrives in L.A. With Baby Boy Ahead of Golden Globes (PHOTOS)

Adele with baby son Adele Adele Adele Adele Adele Adele

Adele has landed.

Just days before she’s set to debut her post-baby body at the Golden Globe Awards, the Grammy-winning songstress stepped out at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, Calif., on Jan 10. But she didn’t jet in to the states solo: Adele cradled her baby boy in a blanket as a security team shielded them from photographers.

Dressed in a head-to-toe black ensemble, the new mom made her way to an awaiting car, without giving a glimpse of her son’s face.

Adele and her the bundle of joy — her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki – have remained mostly out-of-sight since the birth in October, last year.

Now the British pop star will return to the spotlight for the first time at the Globes, where her James Bond theme song “Skyfall” is nominated for Best Original Song.

Her hit single — which was named Best Song at the 2013 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday — will vie against Taylor Swift‘s “Safe and Sound” from The Hunger Games, Jon Bon Jovi‘s “Not Running Anymore” from Stand Up Guys, Keith Urban‘s “For You” from Act of Valor, and “Suddenly” from Les Miserables.

Then it’s on to the Academy Awards for Adele, where “Skyfall” will compete against the crème de la crème in the star-studded category for the Best Original Song Oscar: the Scarlett Johansson-sung “Before My Time” from Chasing Ice; the Norah Jones-sung and Seth MacFarlane-written “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” from Ted; “Pi’s Lullaby” from Life of Pi; and Hugh Jackman‘s heart-wrenching “Suddenly” from Les Misérables.

Not only is “Skyfall” a frontrunner for the Best Original Song statuette — and the first nominee in a decade to also been a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 — but James Bond will also be honored in a feature segment that pays tribute to the franchise’s 50th anniversary.

After hearing word of her nominations, Adele shared her joy on Twitter. “Oh my God I feel like Meryl Streep!,” she wrote to her 11 million followers. “Thank you x.”

Adele Receives 2013 Oscar Nomination for James Bond Theme Song ‘Skyfall’

First, she cleaned house at the 2012 Grammys, now will Adele be adding an Oscar to her laundry list of award wins? The 24-year-old British chanteuse has been nominated for a 2013 Academy Award in the Best Original Song category for her soulful James Bond theme song ‘Skyfall.’

Adele penned the Bond song with fellow Oscar nominee, Paul Epworth, who also produced her album ’21′ and helped co-write various songs (‘Rolling in the Deep,’ ‘I’ll Be Waiting’) on the Grammy-winning record. Congrats to the dynamic songwriting duo!

Although she kept quiet most of 2012 after giving birth to her son, Adele did tease a project on Twitter in Sept. 2012. A few weeks later, the haunting ballad ‘Skyfall’ hit the Internet, and the looming quality behind Adele’s flawless vocals and the building orchestration really gets you into that 007 / spy mindset. We haven’t heard a more commanding Bond song since Shirley Bassey recorded ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ 40 years ago!

In addition to Adele, J. Ralph is nominated for the song ‘Before My Time’ from ‘Chasing Ice,’ while Seth Macfarlane and Walter Murphy received a nod for their ‘Ted’ track, ‘Everybody Needs a Best Friend.’ Finally, ‘Pi’s Lullaby’ from ‘Life of Pi’ and ‘Suddenly’ from ‘Les Misérables’ were nominated, as well.

In addition to a 2013 Oscar nod, Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ was also nominated against Taylor Swift‘s  ’Safe & Sound’ (among others) for a Golden Globe Award. Word on the street is that Ms. Adkins will make her first public appearance since last year at the show on Sunday, Jan. 13, so stay tuned for pictures!

The 2013 Academy Awards are set to air on Sunday, Feb. 24. To check out a full list of this year’s Oscar nominations, head on over to our sister site Screencrush.

Babies Before Marriage: The New Norm in Hollywood (PHOTOS)

First comes baby, then comes marriage? That’s certainly the case for many of today’s hottest Hollywood couples.

Indeed, everyone from Jessica Simpson to Kourtney and Kim Kardashian are putting family first, opting to have a kid or two before deciding when to actually walk down the aisle, if ever.

Of course, the concept of having babies before marriage isn’t entirely foreign. Just look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who over the years have given birth to and adopted enough kids to fill Noah’s Arc — and they still haven’t set an official date (that we know of).

Still, the trend has certainly grown into something relatively common and substantial — enough to suggest that certain social norms and traditions may ultimately be a thing of the past.

Who else is putting family first, and marriage second?

Click through the gallery, above, to see a list of celebrities who just gave birth — or are about to pop — without putting a ring on it first.
