Is Lance Armstrong Ready to Confess — to Oprah?

Is this it?

After reports at the weekend that Lance Armstrong was preparing to admit the the use of performance-enhancing drugs, now comes word that he is sitting down with Oprah Winfrey on OWN’s Oprah’s Next Chapter on Thursday, Jan. 17.

“Oprah Winfrey will speak exclusively with Lance Armstrong in his first no-holds-barred interview,” the cable network said in a statement.

“Armstrong will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career.”

This will the seven-time Tour de France winner’s first public interview since he was stripped of his titles following the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency findings that he had a deep involvement in a doping ring.

Armstrong, 41, was given a lifetime ban on competing professionally.

In the interview, the network said, Winfrey speaks with Armstrong at his home in Austin, Texas.

On the heels of the news, Armstrong resigned as chairman of the foundation he created, Livestrong, which has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in the fight against cancer — and was dropped dropped by long-time sponsor Nike.

“Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him,” the sports’ giant said in a statement, at the time.

“Nike does not condone the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner.”

The interview with Armstrong will air Jan. 17  at 9:00 – 10:30 p.m. ET/PT and will be simultaneously streamed LIVE worldwide on
