The Saturdays Strut + Dance in Sunny ‘What About Us’ Video

The Saturdays strut down the sidewalk in short shorts and dance around in an empty baseball field in their new video for ‘What About Us,’ the latest single for the U.K. girl group.

The ladies spend a sunny L.A. afternoon shopping for clothes and hanging out at a swimming pool before heading inside a billiards hall, where they school some dudes, who clearly had no idea the girls were such talented pool players.

As daylight fades, the Saturdays and a bunch of friends hope a fence to gain access to a baseball field, where they dance under the stadium lights. Sean Paul, who appears on the ‘What About Us’ single, doesn’t appear in the video version, which is fine, because wouldn’t you rather watch the Saturdays instead?

Expect to see much more of the ladies in their E! reality show ‘Chasing the Saturdays,’ which chronicles their efforts to make it big in America.

Demi Lovato’s New Single Rumored to Be Called ‘Pieces of a Heart’

UPDATE: According to Disney Music Group, the single is not called ‘Pieces of a Heart.’ It is still unknown what her next single will be called, and when it will drop!

Does Demi Lovato have a new song on the way? According to a rumored tweet by MTV’s Sway Calloway, Lovato’s ‘Pieces of a Heart’ will debut on ‘MTV First’ on Feb. 13 at precisely 7:49PM ET.

The tweet was reportedly posted by Sway and then deleted, though it can be seen online in screenshot form. Maybe he wasn’t supposed to reveal the news just yet and his bosses asked him to remove the posting. If the alleged tweet was accurate, ‘Pieces of a Heart’ could be the lead single from Lovato’s fourth album, which is due sometime this year.

What might ‘Pieces of a Heart’ mean if it’s the actual song title? It could be a sad song about a heart shattered by breakup. Or maybe it’s a metaphor about love. We like the second explanation, especially since the track would be premiering on the eve of Valentine’s Day.

February would be a good time for Lovato to drop a new single, since ‘X Factor‘ is on hiatus. Her last album, 2011′s ‘Unbroken,’ proved to be a successful comeback effort with hit singles ‘Skyscraper’ and ‘Give Your Heart a Break.’

Just don’t wait on Lovato to confirm or deny the report about the new song on Twitter, because she’s taking a break from the social media site.

Watch Jennifer Hudson Perform ‘I Can’t Let Go’ From ‘Smash’

Look out, Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty! Jennifer Hudson‘s voice soars in a clip from JHud’s upcoming appearance on Season 2 of the Broadway-themed musical drama ‘Smash.’

Hudson’s character, Veronica “Ronnie” Moore, belts out ‘I Can’t Let Go,’ a new tune written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who also penned the Grammy-nominated ‘Let Me Be Your Star’ for Season 1. The song is a huge, emotional ballad in the tradition of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and ‘Someone Like You’ that gives Hudson a chance to flaunt her powerful pipes.

Watch for McPhee and Hilty, who play Karen and Ivy, singing backup for Hudson in the clip, which will reportedly air in episode four of the new season, which kicks off on NBC on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Sky Ferreira Makes Her TV Debut on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

Sky Ferreira has been “the next big thing” for a couple years now, and after repeated album delays, she may finally be on her way, if her performance Monday night on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ is any indication. The 20-year-old made her television debut with a performance of ‘Everything Is Embarrassing’ with Fallon’s house band, the Roots.

The singer wore an angry, pouty glare as she delivered the lyrics about a confused relationship. Complemented by a buoyant piano melody and Questlove’s fierce drumming, Ferreira sang, “Maybe if you let me be your lover / Maybe if you tried then I would not bother / Telling me that basically you’re not looking out for me.

‘Everything Is Embarrassing’ appeared on Ferreira’s 2012 EP ‘Ghost,’ which will be followed later this year by her debut full-length ‘I’m Not Alright.’

Listen to Leaked Prince Track ‘Same Page, Different Book’

Leaked through an unknown Twitter account, a previously unreleased Prince song called ‘Same Page, Different Book’ has hit the web. The funky mid-tempo track finds Prince vaguely addressing war, government and spirituality.

He sings, “There go the missiles / Headed for the hood / Trade another car bomb / Did nobody no good / Same page, but a different book / So much more in common if you’d only look.” Midway through the tune, Prince says, “We’re about to let this thing just… groove,” while a guitar lick takes over, followed by a spoken verse from a female voice.

It’s unclear whether the song might be intended for an upcoming Prince album, as the song’s release appears to have been unauthorized.
